Scholarship Money for Blind Performers

We would like to enroll sixty blind and partially blind unemployed young adults in classes at Teatro Ciego and are seeking donations for scholarships for them.  Teatro Ciego currently has performances seven nights a week and the ticket sales pay the salaries of the blind and partially blind performers. This project would allow sixty adults to learn and practice sound technology with professionals and eventually practice their skills in performances with their teachers.  Since most of the blind people in Argentina are unemployed due to any real assistance or support from government agencies, there are extremely limited opportunities for gainful employment.  Teatro Ciego is a rare opportunity for sixty talented adults to develop these skills and will enable them to work independently in other entertainment venues.  If you would like to sponsor a student for this project, please click on our “Donate Now” page and make your check out to Killian Foundation.  In the notation section of your check, please write Scholarship Fund so that we can use it for these purposes.
